Walking you through the process.
After years of successful entrepreneurship in Calgary, Tate moved to Halifax in 2004 and attended Dalhousie Law School. Tate decided to become a lawyer after encountering a series of frustrating and easily avoidable legal pitfalls. Tate felt that he could provide a better option for Calgarians.
Tate went on to work in varied legal environments from Legal Aid and national firms to local offices and private consulting before starting what would later become StoneTree Law. The vision was to curate a midsize firm in a permanent and convenient location, filled with a deep pool of diverse legal talent focused on service. A symbol of legal excellence in the Calgary community that would assist and guide people through the best and worst of all phases of life and business. By virtue of shedding a name, Reeder & Associates became StoneTree Law so that the passage of time, life and death would not change the fact that StoneTree Law would remain a trusted Calgary Law Firm Calgarians can can rely on.
Tate has since retired from active legal practice to focus on a handful of treasured clients and to manage and steward the long term operations and growth of the StoneTree family of businesses.

Neda has been practicing family law since 2014 after graduating from Canada’s oldest law school, Osgood Hall Law at York University, and was called to the bar shortly after in 2015.
She is a result-focused lawyer with extensive experience with complex family law matters and high-net-worth individuals. While a firm advocate in the courtroom, Neda prefers utilizing a collaborative approach to de-escalate conflict resulting in quicker and more amicable resolutions for her clients.
Neda believes that the practice of family law also requires understanding and experience in estate planning (division of assets), criminal law (domestic violence), and Tort Law (damages for family violence), which she has effectively addressed for her clients.
When not practicing law, Neda is out on an adventure with her adopted dog, Steve. She advocates for animal rights and is involved in assisting with the re-homing of reactive dogs.
